This was the part of my homepage which required the most time and the greatest amount of work in the end. Collecting, scanning, preparing photos, searching for information, writing all the comments to each picture... By now I have about 130 pictures on this page. And at the beginning I just wanted to offer some nice pictures of awesome galactic objects for I have been missing high-quality photos on the web myself...
So I strongly hope that you´ll like these photos! :-)

They are scanned with high resolution and 16 million colours so the files became pretty large. But I think it´s useless to present astronomical photographs of bad quality. What´s interesting? The details of course!
Don´t be afraid, I´ve made tiny little thumbnails for a quick preview. You just have to click it to get the better jpg of your favourite object. The size of the files vary from 13 to 179 Kilobytes. The biggest files are the nebula photos.

Please show some mercy if you recognize mistakes in spelling, grammar, expression or anything else. :-) It was pretty difficult to translate all the information for even my very, very big dictionary did not contain all the technical terms I needed so I often had to try on my own...
I´m no scientist: The information concerning the pictures as well as the pictures themselves are taken from several science magazines of different age. Sometimes they contradicted each other, sometimes they didn´t say anything at all, that´s why I only have few facts about some of the objects on this page.
