Neptune
| Neptune Neptune seen by Voyager 2 in August 1989. The dark field on the left side at the equator is a cyclone as big as earth, it is called "Big Dark Dot" due to the similarity to the one on Jupiter. The wind reaches velocity up to 2.200 km/h, so Neptune is the stormiest planet in the system. The blue colour of the planet is a result of the atmopshere´s consistance. The methan gas absorbes the red light. |
